Day two of the Corona Open J-Bay 2025 kicked off with high anticipation—and it did not disappoint. With a clean swell pushing through the bay, Super Tubes was alive and firing, and the energy along the point was absolutely electric. After a week of world-class warm-up sessions, expectations were sky-high, and everyone—surfers and spectators alike—was frothing for more.

For this session, I switched things up and filmed from an elevated perspective, giving you a top-down view of the lineup at Super Tubes. This new angle offers a broader take—not just on the surfers, but on the wave itself. You’ll be able to see how each section forms, how surfers read the lines, and what decisions they make as the wall races down the reef. To keep the vibes flowing, I’ve layered in some chilled tracks to match the rhythm of the ocean.

What went down?
The lineup delivered non-stop action: deep carves, tight tubes, and explosive aerials lit up the day. Every surfer brought their A-game, and the level of performance was unreal. Adding to the magic, a pod of dolphins stormed the point multiple times—gliding through the line-up with the same speed and grace as the pros. An unforgettable sight.

One of the wildest highlights? South Africa’s own Matt "Cruise" McGillivray dropping into his heat from the sky—literally parachuting into J-Bay like a scene from Mission Impossible. Mad respect.

Oh, and as tradition has it, the 3pm Great White swim-by made its annual appearance. Luckily, the WSL had everything locked down with aerial patrols, jet ski safety, and a plane on watch. Props to the crew for keeping things running smoothly.
