This is a video I took on June 24th, 2023 of the daily CN Z121 intermodal stack train passing into the province of Quebec near the beautiful community of Lac Baker New Brunswick!
This video is one of the first from my railfanning trip to Northern New Brunswick and a little into Quebec. My dad, grandfather and myself have been coming to this area for the past 3 years to railfan the big mainline trains of New Brunswick where the traffic from three major cities in the maritimes are heading to western Canada and the United States. CN Z121 is a hotshot intermodal stack train from Halifax Nova Scotia destined for BIT (Brampton Intermodal Terminal) near Toronto Ontario.
CN Z121 is a little underpowered, running with 4 units (1 offline) on the headend and with no DPU. CN ET44AC 3010 is leading the charge along with ET44AC 3178, ES44AC 2844, with GP38-3 4700 (offline) bringing up the rear of the lashup. The train is pulling about 160 wells of internation and domestic containers, with a friendly crew on board as well!
