Their findings have been submitted to Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. Kumari highlighted shortcomings in the university's and police's responses, assuring that justice would be pursued for the victim. Protests demanding accountability are escalating across India, with groups calling for the resignation of the Chief Minister and stricter measures against the university. The Madras High Court has also ordered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case further.
