One of the organizers of the show, Michael Lee, announced this on his X social network page. He also posted a video in which light-emitting drones create images of flowers, the planet Earth, and a huge tree in the sky with its leaves falling in the form of fireworks.
The achievement of Chinese engineers has not yet been officially announced by the Guinness Book of Records.

According to the outlet, Liuyang City set two new Guinness World Records on October 17 with this Chinese drone show, one for the simultaneous launch of 15,947 drones from a single computer and another for an aerial display featuring 7,496 drones carrying fireworks, doubling the previous record.
