Hunting for Beer in Faroe Islands 🍻 | Exploring Tórshavn & Peaceful Kirkjubøur 🇫🇴 | Stories of Akhil

Описание: We continue the journey in Klaksvík after returning from Kalsoy. The evening starts with grocery shopping near the port — sandwiches, chicken tikka boxes, and red curry chicken. It was a huge money saver compared to restaurants! Surprisingly, there was no beer in the supermarket, so we went on a beer hunt across petrol pumps and finally found some at a small fish-and-chips van.

We also tried to go for the Klakur hike, but the entry point was closed. The alternative route would take 4+ hours, so we had to skip it this time.

That wraps up Day 4, and the video continues with Day 5. We began late after days of heavy hiking. Driving from Klaksvík towards Tórshavn, we passed through the unique underwater roundabout — the only one of its kind in the world — and even drove in circles for fun.

In Tórshavn, I had a surprise: Telugu songs were playing in the restaurant Tarv Grill House! It was amazing to hear my native language so far from home. I enjoyed a delicious cod fish meal before continuing south.

Our final stop was Kirkjubøur, the oldest village in the Faroe Islands. Calm, peaceful, and surrounded by grass-roof houses, the place felt magical. I explored the stone paths, the small church built in 1874, the ruins of St. Magnus Cathedral, and flew my drone over the village. The silence, beauty, and the surrounding graves truly gave me a deeper understanding of “rest in peace.”

This day was all about slowing down, enjoying simple food, and experiencing the peaceful side of the Faroe Islands.
