Verche - Abyssus (Original Mix) [Heath Mill Recordings]

Описание: Label-favorite Verche is back following his most recent two track offering, ‘Sirius’ and ‘Incognito’. The Croatian artist had his most recent release for Heath Mill Recordings, the dual threat release of ‘Sirius’ and ‘Incognito’, met with applause from critics and fans alike. This month, he rings in the Autumn season in just the same fashion with a pair of incredibly well-crafted productions in ‘Desperate Times’ and ‘Abyssus’, both of which are due out on September 18th.

Verche leads with ‘Desperate Times’, clearly a production plucked straight from the heavens. The record’s lead melody shines down from above before quietly disseminating in to the background, leaving the thick percussive rhythm to itself for a brief moment before settling nicely in to the background of the soundscape. Intertwined in the middle of the production is a somber synth line that contrasts the twilight-stricken lead melodies and soft snare/hi hat combos with ease. Altogether, the production leads a path of self-reflection to the tune of a distinctly unique sound that few can match.

‘Abyssus’ relies heavily on nuanced structures and well-placed sound effects to create a full-bodied and all-encompassing sonic journey that is decidedly more melancholic than its a side counterpart. The high end melody is a simplistic and elongated single note chord that is matched by a hollowed out bass note and the distant reach of a faded vocal echo that covers the top of the production likes waves hitting a shore line. As the track progresses, the instrumentals blend together getting lost in the abyss, only to be found once again around the rise and fall of the same, familiar reverbed bass chord.

Whereas ‘Desperate Times’ finds its niche near the peak-time hour, ‘Abyssus’ resides comfortably in the nuanced progression of the opening hours of the evening. Both, however, can be found on Heath Mill Recordings on September 18th.
