Der Geher in Hamburg: Altona-Nord

Описание: I am Der Geher and I walk the district Altona-Nord. From Altona station, the path leads past new apartment buildings along Felicitas-Kukuck-Strasse and then through other residential areas. Past the Theodor Haubach School and the former Victoria Barracks follows the Holsten House with part of the city administration. Through the Alsenpark the way ends at the Mennonite Church of Hamburg.

Altona-Nord is a part of the former independent city of Altona and became an independent district of Hamburg only after World War II. Before that, the area was part of Altona-Altstadt. Thus, this district also has no historic center and is characterized more by wide traffic arteries. However, there are some listed buildings and well-kept old buildings to discover. Today, about 11,500 inhabitants live here.
