Two hours drive from west of Adelaide is the historical mining town of Burra, where cereal cropping meets sheep grazing country. But venture out further beyond the limits of the township and some of South Australia's beautiful and diverse wildlife will be found. In particular our wide and varied bird species.
Species such as one of Australia's most colourful birds, the Rainbow Bee-eater, the equally striking Mallee Ringneck, Spiny cheeked Honeyeater, Dusky Woodswallow, White Browed Babbler, Galah, Brown Falcon and many others.
With low rainfall this area is dry and arid. However the wildlife continues to not only thrive, but as you will see in some amazing footage of the Masked Woodswallow feeding their young, multiply.
