Описание: In this lecture, we will be discussing the Cupellation Process

Highlights:
Galena (PbS) is always associated with silver
If silver is 1% in the ore, then the cupellation process is followed
In a reverberatory furnace, lead-silver alloys are taken
Pb changes to PbO, it melts and overflows from the cupel
A flash of light is observed when the silver melts. It gets adsorbed in the bone ash lining of the couple crucible
