So I researched high and low:
VLT - Visible Light Transmitted, Malaysian law is 70% front and 40% rear.
TSER - Total Solar Energy Rejection, the higher this number, the cooler your car is.
GlasTec Omega can achieve 63% TSER with 70% VLT due to the hybrid construction of its film
Vkool's 70+ achieves 54% with legal 75% VLT.
Vkool V8 achieves 66% TSER with illegal 16% VLT, blocks cellular signals and GPS signals, for legal VLT, it can only achieve 50% TSER
3M Crystalline with 70% VLT can go 60% TSER but blocks Smart Tag
Llumar Stratos with 40% VLT can go 58% TSER, but if want to achieve highest 63% TSER, I will have to resort to illegal 17% VLT, for legal 70% VLT, the highest they can achieve is only 49% TSER
Above are all specs I found during my research from their websites, and my BMW's 3M Crystalline had to cut a hole for Smarttag, and my Audi had to resort to illegally dark tint for good heat rejection, and my colleague's car with the highest grade V-Kool blocks her GPS signal. As my Volvo will be driven by my wife fetching kids as well, I want it to be legal and with the highest TSER possible.
