I am passionate about helping business owners break out of survival mode and shift their time and passion into their areas of highest value and growing their business toward the thriving successes.
I started out in the IT world in 1977 -- and there has been tremendous change in every element of that business. While the technogies have changed since then, most of the underlying principles have remained constant.
As a self-employed business owner I have traded from home, grew to occupy rented premises on High Street and took on staff. In 2001 two planes hit some buildings half-way round the world and the ripple effect saw 80% of my business dry up almost instantly! I was forced to rebuild with a new business model from a position of sudden debt. I chose to pay back every dollar owed rather than walk away from my obligations.
Out of painful experience I now specialise in helping businesses improve their cashflow and debtor management through successful strategies that can be applied to any business.
Many local business owners are working harder than they should and leaving behind massive value that could -- or should -- be added to their bottom line. Many business owners forfeit leadership to their debtors without even realising it and their business suffers. Many businesses fail due to cashflow problems that they should never even have.
I've been happily married to Shirley since 1981 and we have raised three vibrant and lively daughters who have, thankfully, grown and left home. I've lived my whole life in this area and am committed to helping local business owners thrive.
