Join us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Surrey’s Salmon Habitat Restoration Program (SHaRP), a remarkable youth-led initiative that has quietly shaped and sustained our city’s salmon habitat since 1996. Over three decades, SHaRP has become a beacon of environmental stewardship—cultivating a generation of leaders while restoring over 2,940 stream sites, constructing 189 instream rock weirs, and painting 7,000 yellow fish symbols to remind us that storm drains lead straight to salmon streams.
Celebrate with us, recognize the youth who’ve shaped this legacy, and be inspired by the power of local action to restore habitats, nurture wildlife, and strengthen community bonds.
