Not been to the Manchester event for three year's ,this is a new venue in the Manchester Uni sports building complex.
I did some special works on the buildings in this area in the past.
I preferred the old venue in the other Uni buildings as they were more cosy and there was a proper restaurant with food cooked by the in house staff.
On this day I went outside the complex and got a festive paste and a coffee then went to the heated out side Uni food area which had seating and heating on this very cold day.
This new venue is held in huge sports halls one of which was very cold.
There is one good point which is that there is a lot of space to move around and it never got too crowded where you struggled to move from one layout to the next.
There is a Uni car park 10 minutes away
at £8 per day.
Next time I will get the tram into Manchester or use the park and ride as driving around the Oxford Road area is not advised due to the many motorist traps like bus gates and traffic cameras etc.
