Описание: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dedicated to the nation the successful implementation of the three new criminal laws that have replaced the full set of British-era laws. PM Modi witnessed a live demonstration in Chandigarh city simulating a crime scene investigation under the new criminal laws that came into effect on 1st of July. Chandigarh has become the country’s first administrative unit where 100 per cent implementation of the three laws has been done. The new laws prioritize the provision of justice, in contrast to the colonial-era laws that focused primarily on penal action. They allow any person to file a Zero FIR at any police station, regardless of jurisdiction; permit online registration of police complaints and electronic serving of summons.
