Jamie + Pam discuss Oral Sensory Toys

Описание: Pam + Jamie review some of their favorites for Damien and Ava. Children who are nonverbal typically seek oral input, and we wanted to go over some great options to help give them the input they need.

Pam and Jamie are friends that are going through their special needs parenting journey together and each have a child on the severe side of their diagnosis. Jamie's son is non verbal and on the severe side of the autism spectrum and Pam's daughter is non verbal and on the severe side of Cerebral Palsy. They each have additional children and try to find a good balance.

They formed the Special with a Side of Mom NONPROFIT to help create disability #Inclusion awareness in schools, sports, community and workplace. Pam and Jamie started two monthly support meetings in Austin, TX and plan to create more. They don't want any parent to have to go through their journey alone. Our topics are not always pretty, but they are real.

The goal is always to create awareness, connect parents/caretakers, and to create light.
