This site was strategically positioned to attract a large number of spectators and offered a unique setting for the new home of the French Grand Prix and French motorsport. Yvelines is home to much of the French automotive industry, including a significant Renault facility situated adjacent to the project site. However, the project was officially abandoned on December 1, 2009, by Alain Schmitz, the President of the General Council of Yvelines. It faced opposition due to environmental concerns, particularly because it was located on a major aquifer, as well as a lack of sufficient support from various stakeholders. Enjoy!
