The security personnel attached to FDC Presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat on Wednesday survived being shot at by a policeman at Mahyoro landing site in Kitagwenda district.
The shooting occurred as police attempted to block Amuriat's campaign team from accessing the shores of Lake George.
The Kitagwenda district police commander, Rosette Sikihwa confirmed the detention of the police constable responsible for the shooting while investigations into the incident proceed.
