Bringing the traditional taste of Bihar with these crispy, sweet & flavourful cookies popularly known as “Thekua” a treat of pure love in every bite.
Made these desi biscuits with a twist—of @emamihealthyandtasty Ultra Lite Soybean Oil to keep them deliciously light!
Ingredients
Wheat flour/ गेहूं का आटा 1cup
All purpose flour/ मैदा -1cup
Semolina/ सूजी-1/4cup
Sugar/ चीनी (powder) -1/2cup (as required)
Fennel seeds/ सौंफ़ -1tsp
Cardamom powder/ इलायची पाउडर -1tsp
Grated coconut/ कसा हुआ नारियल -1/4cup
Ghee/ घी -1/4cup
Milk/ दूध -1/4cup or as required
Method
▪️In a bowl add wheat flour, maida, semolina, sugar powder,fennel seeds, Cardamom powder, grated coconut and Luke warm ghee rub ghee for 4-5min.
▪️Gradually add milk in batches and combine dough don’t over knead.
▪️Shape cookies and fry them on low flame until golden and crisp.
▪️Take out and enjoy. These can be stored for about 1 month.
विधि
▪️एक कटोरे में गेहूं का आटा, मैदा, सूजी, चीनी पाउडर, सौंफ के बीज, इलायची पाउडर, कसा हुआ नारियल और गुनगुना घी डालें और 4-5 मिनट तक घी को रगड़ें।
▪️धीरे-धीरे दूध डालें और आटे को मिलाएँ, ज़्यादा न गूंधें।
▪️कुकीज़ को आकार दें और उन्हें धीमी आँच पर सुनहरा और कुरकुरा होने तक तलें।
▪️बाहर निकालें और आनंद लें। इन्हें लगभग 1 महीने तक संग्रहीत किया जा सकता है।
