An ancient Jagannath temple of Gada Madhapur, Jajpur. But the interesting fact about this temple was after the last king of Gada Madhupur died his elder daughter was declared as the new Queen. She performed the ceremonial 'Chhera Pahanra' or the sweeping of chariots as part of rituals associated with the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Gadamadupur recently. She was the first queen in the history of Odisha who did Chhera Pahanra.

Aparna has been performing the ritual for the last eight years bringing in a change in the 400-year-old tradition of the family. In absence of a male heir, Aparna was coronated queen after the demise of her father Raja Birabara Krunshaprasad Dhir Singh in 2007.
