Film-maker Kerreen Ely-Harper embarks on a journey to tell the story of six British orphans looking for a better life in Australia in 1948, one of whom is her father.
She also delves into the story of a ‘secret’ seventh sibling, Tom, who wasn't fortunate enough to make it to Australia, and whose life was deeply impacted by his start in life and upbringing.
Here, she catches up with Tom in the Philippines, as his health declines, and he desperately seeks to find happiness and fulfilment in his life.
