The Battle of Badr was the first and one of the most significant battles in Islamic history. It took place on 17th Ramadan, 2 AH, under the leadership of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. A small group of only 313 devoted Sahaba (Companions) stood firm against a well-equipped army of 1,000 warriors from Quraysh.
This battle was not fought with numbers or weapons alone, but with strong faith, patience, sacrifice, and complete trust in Allah. Despite limited resources, the Sahaba showed remarkable bravery and discipline. Allah granted victory to the believers and supported them with divine help, sending angels to strengthen their hearts.
Great Companions such as Hazrat Hamza (RA), Hazrat Ali (RA), and Hazrat Abu Ubaidah (RA) displayed extraordinary courage on the battlefield. The victory at Badr clearly proved that true success comes from faith and reliance on Allah, not from material strength.
