Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most beautiful tracks in the world, but today, it was a total nightmare. 🇧🇪🏁
We are preparing for Stage 2 of the Atlantic-Pacific Endurance Series (APES) with the Porsche 919 Hybrid, and the shakedown was a disaster. Out of 17 laps, only one was valid. I struggled with top speed on the Kemmel Straight (barely hitting 310 km/h with KERS) and a car that felt incredibly weak.
To make things worse, a heavy crash destroyed my front suspension. After repairs and switching to soft tires, things got even weirder: brakes and tires were freezing, and the oil temperature dropped, making the car impossible to drive in the slow corners like La Source and the final Chicane.
My best lap was a 2:07.360, far from where I want to be. The hunt for the perfect setup continues!
