Railfanning the Willamette Valley 2011 - Part 1

decided to bunch some of my intense, high vibration footage into a video. You can definately feel the power being trackside in this video!

1) Amtrak Coast Starlight train 11 with unit 159 leading at Perkins Road on 8-22-2011.

2) The daily Union Pacific train QPDRV moving through Salem with units 5459, 5392, 5413, 5450 and DPU 5355 on 9-13-2011. In the siding the Salem Local is switching a cold storage plant.

3) UP train MRVPT moves past the Salem switcher at Hines St SE with unit 7408 in the lead on 9-14-2011.

4) UP train QPDRV roars aound a curve near Millersburg with unit 5452 in the lead on 9-23-2011.

5) UP train QPDRV travels down a short grade alongside Indian School Road, heavily powered with units 5375, 7666, 5169, 4809, 9674, 5546 but no DPU on 9-29-2011.

6) UP train QPDRV moves south with a backdrop of stormy skies with units 5451, 5417, 5216, 5149 and DPU 5452 at Perkins Road on 10-05-2011.

7) The same train about 40 miles to the south at Seefeld Dr. in Halsey.

8) As the sun sets DPU 5452 passes in Harrisburg.

9) UP train QPDRV heads south at Perkins Road with units 7423, 4767, 3973, 5082 and DPU 5370 on 10-6-2011.

10) And to finish out part 1, Portland & Western 3004 leads a five car train south at Brooks heading towards Salem on 10-6-2011.
