Kothimbir Vadi or Cilantro Bites is a famous Maharashtra India ’s snack and side- dish in meals, made from fresh cilantro leaves, gram flour & spices. Detailed recipe as follow:
2 Buch of Cilantro
1 cup gram flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1/4 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp Red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder & 2 tsp jaggery powder (optional)
Salt as per your taste
1/4 cup water
2 tsp oil
Wash 2 Bunch of Cilantro and take only leaves then dry out water from it by spreading on cotton cloth for 1 hour
Once water has dried out, roughly chop Cilantro leaves
Transfer it in big bowl, then add 1 cup gram flour & 1/4 cup rice flour
Add spices 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp Red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder & 2 tsp jaggery powder (optional)
Add Salt as per your taste.
Mix it well all together
Add 1/4 cup water , again Mix it well all together
Add 2 tsp oil, again Mix it well all together
A dough should be form, make 3 cylinder shape dough of it.
Steam the Kothimbir vadi’s cylinder shape dough in slow cooker for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, the Kothimbir vadi’s cylinder shape dough should be cooked well and place aside to cool for 10 minutes.
Cut them in oval shapes.
Heat pan with 1 cup oil on low- medium flame, shallow fry Kothimbir Vadi for 7-8 minutes.
-Keep moving the sides of Kothimbir Vadi to fry it evenly.
After frying placing it on tissue to remove oil if any.
Enjoy it with Tomato sauce to as side dish in your meal.
