The Supply Chain Management Suite of solutions from SAP includes SAP EWM. An integrated software platform is used by the Extended Warehouse Management package to provide rigid, automated support for processing goods movements and for controlling inventory in the warehouse.
Incoming and exiting materials, receiving and issuing items, filling customer orders, and distribution of commodities are the primary processes in a warehouse.
With improved warehouse efficiency, SAP EWM customers manage warehouse movements and procedures, reduce problems, and turn operations into an adaptable fulfillment supply chain that can pool resources.
If stock movements in your warehouse take a detour through an intermediary storage bin to get from a source storage bin to a destination location, you can use the layout-oriented storage control.
You provide external warehouse process stages, such as identification points and pick points, for your warehouse in order to implement layout-oriented storage control. If stock movements in your warehouse don't go directly from a source storage bin to a destination location but instead go through an intermediate storage bin, you can use the layout-oriented storage control. During picking, you can move your items using a pick point.
If your storage area has high racks. The system should perform a weight and contour check on the pallet to guarantee that it can be safely stored there. Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) divides the warehouse order into two parts for this activity: one from storage bin A to identification point I, and the other from identification point I to storage bin B. During picking, you can move your items using a pick point.
