Wessex Archaeology Virtual Reality (VR): Bath Abbey

Описание: Our Studio 3D Environment Artists, created an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) reconstruction of Wessex Archaeology's work on The Bath Abbey Footprint Project, excavating and recording beneath the abbey floor. This work was completed for Bath Abbey with Heritage Lottery funding.

The Bath Abbey VR reconstruction has a wealth of archaeological features to explore, including historic architectural features and burials. The excavations have been located within a transparent overlay of the abbey building's full height, with the pillars and windows added to provide a sense of place, scale and orientation. Our Bath Abbey VR experience is very atmospheric with low level lighting. The jump navigation interface and the virtual torch make it easy to explore.

Pop up information points enhance understanding of the heritage features, including Saxon and Roman remains.
