The one-of-a-kind style, comes from the rich imagination and originality expressed by each member of the team. Our creative process provides total freedom to each sculptor in order to follow and interpret the natural wood shapes. The armchair is hand-carved from a single piece of mahogany in one of the most recognizable, and most widely admired carving styles, Makonde.

From choosing the right piece of wood to the finished project, the meticulous sculpture and the difficulty of hand-carving dense wood required more than 12 months and involved a team of 6 artisans.
