Akron Soul Train artist merges love of nature with ancient artform

Описание: While Stephen Tomasko's photography work captures visuals from Americana, Cleveland Browns tailgating and nature, he also works in encaustic painting, an artform that dates back to Ancient Egypt, using pigments and hot wax to achieve different opacity, textures and permanence. Tomasko, who recently began his artist fellowship for Akron Soul Train, is creating work that spans across all of these interests, and he discusses his process and some of his goals as a fellow for the project, a soon-to-be built residential artist village in downtown Akron.
