The production concept for this rendition is "The Fusion of Japanese Passion and Western Groove." The track opens with a percussive, rhythmic guitar scratching reminiscent of The Doobie Brothers' "Long Train Runnin'." Layered upon this is a thick, four-part vocal harmony inspired by Boyz II Men, driven by a deep, undulating bassline that crawls beneath the melody, elevating "Odoriko" into an entirely new dimension.
