Killing Time PC - 01 Docks & Gardens - No Commentary Gameplay

Описание: No commentary playthrough of the PC version of Killing Time, hard difficulty. I know some people asked about this, so there you are :)

First of all, this footage has been upscaled for the occasion. Game will run only at 480p, and we know how 480p YouTube videos look due to its shitty bitrate and 30fps. So I upscaled them all to 1440p for pixel perfect 1/9 ratio.

Killing Time was originally released for the 3DO console back in 1995, with this Windows version later in 1996, which has nothing to do with the 3DO version. It's a completely different game. I must admit I was expecting much worse, and this was ok-ish. On the good side, the game starts as creepy-good, the entire game world is open and can be traversed as a huge environment with load times in between, some objectives could be done in wichever order you wanted, and the in-game FMV "visions" that tell the story were also a novelty... Too bad the creepyness goes away as soon as some cheesy enemies and the cringy cinematics show up, and sometimes there are so many enemies in the way that it turns into a chore (maybe choosing a lower skill level would help).

Antes de nada, estos vídeos han sido reescalados. El juego se ejecuta a 480p, y todos sabemos como lucen los vídeos de Youtube con su bitrate de mierda y 30fps. Así que están reescalados a 1440p para una relación pixel-perfect 1/9.

Killing Time fue originalmente lanzado para la consola 3DO en 1995, con la versión para Windows en 1996, que no tiene nada que ver con la de 3DO, es un juego completamente distinto. Debo admitir que esperaba algo mucho peor, y la verdad al final estuvo ok. Lo bueno, que el juego empieza siendo tétrico, el mundo es abierto y se puede ir de un lado a otro como si fuese un único y enorme entorno (con tiempos de carga en medio), algunos objetivos se pueden realizar en el orden que queramos, y los vídeos in-game en forma de "visiones" mostrando la historia eran novedosos... Lo malo es que el ambiente de terror se va en cuanto aparecen enemigos algo ridículos y esas mismas visiones tienen algo de humor de vergüencita ajena, y a veces hay tantos enemigos en el camino que se convierte en un tedio (puede ser que jugando en un nivel más fácil esto se solucione).
