Extreme Heat Warnings In Effect Across Western US

Описание: A heat wave is scorching the western US — from California to Arizona — putting extra pressure on electric grids as residents crank up their air conditioning.

Temperatures in downtown Sacramento, California reached 103F (39C) on Wednesday. Excessive heat warnings are in force through 8 p.m. across California’s Central Valley, including Sacramento, Modesto and Stockton, the National Weather Service said. Temperatures may reach 106F in some areas.
