In this akai mpc one tutorial video i want to go over the difference in the mpc one polyphony and explain when you might want to use monophonic vs polyphonic when i am sampling a melodic sample from a record i usually end up using my program in monophonic so there is no overlapping in my beat making production, but when i am samp-ling a live drum break and want to layer drums i do use polyphonic on my prgm editor so i am able to layer sounds on top of each other.
