A Gospel Awakening in Scotland: How Young Life Is Reaching the Next Generation

Описание: Every now and then, I get to film something that makes me feel like I am part of a movement — and this one did. We created this film to help Young Life Scotland share their vision and invite more people to join their mission. What I didn’t expect was how deeply it would move me.

Scotland was once a nation of gospel pioneers, sending missionaries to the ends of the earth. But today, less than 1% of Scottish high schoolers have any connection to a church. Anxiety, isolation, and mental health struggles are everywhere — yet through all that, God is raising up a new movement of leaders and volunteers who are stepping into the lives of young people with love, joy, and the hope of Jesus.

This film shows what that looks like up close.
→ You’ll see leaders meeting teenagers right where they are — on school grounds, in cafés, and at clubs — earning the right to be heard.
→ You’ll hear from young moms and students whose lives have been transformed through friendship and faith.
→ And you’ll witness the incredible work happening through Young Life camps, where laughter, belonging, and the gospel all collide in life-changing ways.

Honestly, I was blown away by the faith, creativity, and persistence of this team. Young Life is building relationships that change lives — and in the process, they’re helping Scotland rediscover its gospel roots.
