Описание: The opposition party has picked veteran Congress leader Margaret Alva as its vice presidential pick.The decision was announced by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar after an all-party meet by the opposition parties in New Delhi. The meeting was attended by all major opposition parties including the Congress, Shiv Sena, All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), Left Front constituents, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi party (SP), and others.

"We are trying to contact Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal. Last time they supported our joint president candidate," Sharad Pawar told PTI.
