Winter Wedding at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa

Описание: Sometimes I get a call about a wedding and I just KNOW that we are meant to film it. From the moment I was in touch with Kendall, I knew she'd be the perfect bride to work with. Then I met her mom, and they honestly just felt like an extension of my family. I felt like I could be myself around them. I felt like I could give them my ideas and be creative. And I did just that. This wedding meant so much to me. I truly felt like I was 100% free to do whatever it was that I saw fit to make it the best for the couple.

So let's talk about Kendall and James real fast, and their incredibly RAINY wedding day at Southern Hills Country Club. The rest of the week, the weather was great. Being a December wedding, you never know what you are going to get in Tulsa. If the weather was about 8 degrees colder, we would have had snow. Which would have been lovely. But the rain didn't slow us down. We honestly like the way the light looks better when it is cloudy and rainy. Something more dramatic about the footage.

When I first booked Kendall and James' wedding, I could tell they really loved the romance of winter. The holiday lights, the weather, all is something they loved. So when I suggested to mom that we should get some fairy lights to use in the dark, they all jumped on board with the idea. I was SO happy they went along with it (be sure to watch the beginning and the end of the film to see what I am talking about).

Overall, I feel like my family grew a little with this wedding. I feel like I have more people on this Earth that mean something special to me. I have to say, one more time, that it blows me away that this is my real life. Working with people on their special day, to help them tell the story that needs to be told right. Meeting people like Kendall and James, working at places like Southern Hills Country Club. It just all blows me away sometimes.

Thank you to these two, and their amazing families for putting on the perfect winter wedding in Tulsa. Thank you for trusting in me, for allowing me to create, and be creative. I can only hope this film is something you show your grandchildren one day. I can only hope that we keep running into each other around town, because I am honestly delighted every time we do!
