This is a first of a series of videos on the wonderful OSINT tool, Maltego. Maltego is more than a data visualizer, as it has plugins (transformers) that connect to 3rd party public data curators. From these 3rd parties, data can be accessed and pulled into a graph and report.

For this demonstration I'll be using just one free plugin (Little Sis). Little Sis works with public personalities, showing any public connections, public funding/donations, lobbying, transactions, and so on.

Picking a public figure at random, I thought it was interesting that within 20min. a connection is established between a politician and a wealthy business owner. Is it significant? Maybe not, but it shows how powerful Maltego is as a utility. As this is just one plugin (transformer) think of the power you can achieve with all the others (FlightAware, NIST NVD, Social Links CE, OCCRP Aleph, Blockchain explorers, TinEye, VirusTotal, Wayback Machine and more).
