In this video, we repair 4 different Auger bits used for drilling holes in the ground for things such as telephone telephone poles. We repair 2 that have the flights completely snapped off, and we have to modify 2 to accept a square key system for the pilot bits on the end. In this video we use the lathe and the milling machine to machine the new key piece on the end. we torch cut the square keyway, we weld it all up with dual shield MIG, and clean it all up with a good old fashioned grinder. hope you enjoy this one!
