In order to remain economically competitive, ports need to efficiently streamline workflow and minimize costs. Ports have historically suffered from high levels of environmental pollution. However smart ports can limit energy consumption and waste by making use of automation and smart technologies, it will also enable the optimization of traffics and thus lower emissions. In conclusion there are many benefits of Smart Ports. Though, Smart ports will not just happen, they will require continuous renewal and innovation.
