PE Games - Stumps

Описание: Stumps is a PE game for primary school children and a great activity to use in a primary PE lesson. We have created these videos to help and support primary school teachers and sports coaches with fun activities for children to take part in during PE lessons. Stumps is a game that focuses on children's ability to throw the ball underarm or overarm accuracy.

Children will be split into teams and will have a small ball and a set of stumps per team. Children will stand in their teams behind a cone and will attempt to throw the ball underarm towards the wicket. If they are successful in hitting a stump then the stump is removed - only one stump can be removed per throw. The team to hit all of their stumps and have them removed from the base is the winning team.

As a progression for this activity, you could have the stumps transferred from one team to another team when they have been hit.
