This video is the fifth in a series made by the Northwest Straits Foundation in partnership with other Shore Friendly programs across Puget Sound. The Shore Friendly program was created to provide shoreline landowners with resources to maintain and protect their investments while also protecting the fish and wildlife that need healthy nearshore habitats to thrive.

If you're a waterfront homeowner, you might be concerned about how erosion can impact your property. While shoreline erosion can be a challenge, it is also a natural process that ensures the health of our marine ecosystems. In this video, you'll hear from three landowners living on the Puget Sound. They worked with the Northwest Straits Foundation's Shore Friendly program to get help replanting their shoreline with native plants to provide a natural solution to shoreline erosion. This is one of many forms of assistance your local program can provide.
