After the Pripyat episode, our journey to Chernobyl continues, arriving at what, for me, was the most interesting and shocking topic of this journey. It's known to many as the Chernobyl Conspiracy. A conspiracy, however, based on highly credible theories. Not 100% certain, but CREDIBLE. Obviously, based on the numerous video testimonies and documents found.

The DUGA RADAR is a SECRET antenna, not appearing on any official map. This antenna, 150 meters high and 1 km long, allowed the Russian government and the Soviet Union in general to spy on the United States of America. Specifically, thanks to this antenna, the Russians were able to know 7 minutes in advance when the US launched missiles. This would have allowed the USSR to organize accordingly, either to liberate areas or to reduce those missiles.

The problem is that the signal from the DUGA RADAR, known as the RUSSIAN WOODPECKER (because a sound similar to that of a woodpecker in a tree could be heard on radios across Europe), was being intercepted by the Aurora Borealis in Lapland. And it is precisely from this problem that the entire Chernobyl Conspiracy theory was born....

Just this year, on April 26, 2021, the DUGA RADAR also became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
