Here’s one of the main spares out of the Carol Stream site, seen handling a post-Christmas recycling route last year. Recycling in this town used to be manual when Republic still hauled it, and when Flood took over some customers opted to still use their tubs so a few of those stops pop up in this video too, which I was glad to get on video. I can remember watching this truck when it was a lot newer back when I lived in an unincorporated neighborhood years ago, so it's always cool to run into this one again. Not to mention, this is one of the few residential trucks Flood had bought before their residential side really took off and they started buying predominantly Mack McNeilus FLs. I’ve always liked how nice these older LEU’s sound, and seeing this truck still done up with the 80-year anniversary wrap makes it a one of a kind truck in Flood’s fleet.
