Chilean Navy UFO sighting explained | This Is Why

In January 2017, the Chilean navy declassified footage.
It was shot November 11, 2014 by a Chilean Navy helicopter

The chopper was west of Santiago, and flying at 4,500 feet on a clear day, in the afternoon

The men on the helicopter saw an object flying about 65 kilometers away (or 40 miles), at about the same velocity and altitude that they were flying.
They zoomed in with the infrared camera and contacted two radar stations, who could pick up the helicopter on their radar but could NOT detect any other object even though it should have been within range.
On-board radar also couldn’t detect it.
Now, in addition... there were no reports of civilian or military traffic in the area.
The pilot attempted to communicate with the craft but there was no reply.
Most of the film was taken in infrared, with the black, white, and grey tones related to heat.
The hotter the object, the darker it appears in the video.
The helicopter was manned by two crew: a Navy Captain with years of flying experience and a Navy technician.
Chile’s government agency that investigates unidentified phenomena, studied the video for two years.
They could not explain it.
A committee of military experts and professionals have also been unable to reach a consensus about what it is.
The Captain described the object as:
“Flat and elongated… with two thermal spotlights like discharges that did not coincide with the axel of motion.”
And the technician said it was:
“White with a semi-oval shape on the horizontal axis”
The discharge that you see in the video appears to be a gas or liquid with a “high thermal track or signal.”
Some analysts thought it may be from some type of aircraft, dumping cabin waste water.
But nothing was spotted on radar, and no communication was made.
And experts say that water discharge would have fallen quickly, and that this was more likely to be gas or energy.
Other people have claimed it was a fighter jet, a weather balloon, a drone, or a U.S. military helicopter, pointing to this moment in the video.. what they claim are chopper blades.
But again – nothing came up on radar, and the experienced pilots said it was unlike anything they’d ever seen.
The Navy Admiral has publicly confirmed it was NOT a US drone or espionage aircraft from any other country.
Air Force analysts looking at the photos determined it was a real, three-dimensional object that was able to control its own movements.
Winds did not affect it.
It reflected the light around it
And it emitted some type of energy.
The video was not a hoax or altered in any way.
But of course, some disagree and say it is a hoax.
Others say it is a type of experimental aircraft.
And there are some who believe this video really is proof of an extraterrestrial UFO.
This is the first time that a UFO was caught on a high-quality video for more than nine minutes and with two experts witnessing it.
And it remains one of the most remarkable sightings the world has ever seen.
