Why?
Because on the "2 cups" setting, it grinds 10 tablespoons of coffee.
That's way too much for me.
I normally use 1 tablespoon per cup of coffee, and normally drink three cups (6 ounce cups, 18 ounce total) at one sitting. Why? Because my stainless steel cup holds 20 ounces. Perfect for the 18 ounce/ 3 coffee cup setting.
I'm not even sure how 10 tablespoons of coffee would taste in 18 ounces of water! But too much for me.
Sent it back, got a different grinder that actually made a reasonable amount of grinds for the setting.
