How to Clean & Inspect Cards Before Grading! | FULL GUIDE!

Описание: Today I will show you how I clean and inspect sports cards before I send them off to be graded. You can use this method for any trading cards you're going to be sending off for grading. I will show you how I check and clean cards to see if they are worthy to be sent off to be grading with companies like PSA, BGS (Beckett), SGC, HGA and so on. I will show you to clean and get your card ready to be send off to grading. I will show you how I package the card and get it ready to be shipped out.

Most, if not all grading companies will require you to ship your trading card, sports card, Pokemon cards using a semi rigid card holder like card saver, Beckett shield and so one. I will show you how I package the trading cards after cleaning it, in a semi rig card holder. DO NOT send your cards in top loaders. Card Companies hate it! NOW its not like they wont grade your card but it will take them longer and may charge you because of it. I will say some cards will not fit in card savers (semi rigid) they do have bigger points but I personally send the thick cards in top loaders. I don't want to buy a whole case just to send off 2-3 thick cards for grading.

After cleaning the card by using a soft micro fiber towel, I will put the card in a NEW penny sleeve and put it in the semi rigid card loader. I will then put a sticky tab over the penny sleeve so the grading company will have an easier time to pull the card out of its card saver and have less chances of damaging it. I show that in the video.

HOW I CHECK SPORTS CARD, TRADING CARDS, POKEMON CARDS IF THEY ARE WORTHY TO BE GRADED:
So I like to look at the card from a naked eye first. This will show me all the defects and centering from the naked eye. If they all checks out then I process to the next step (Some Card are worthy to be graded regardless of condition because of the player and so one, do your own research) Then I will use a magnifying glass to look at the card very closely. This will help the defects pop out under the glass. I have caught so many card from not getting 10s just because of the defects and scratches I found on the surface. (AGAIN SOME CARD ARE WORTHY OF GETTING GRADED REGARDLESS OF CONDITION LIKE MY LAMELO BALL OPTIC SILVER RATED ROOKIE THAT I USE IN THIS DEMONSTRATION.) After that all checks out I use a card centering tool to make sure the card is centered. NOW the naked eye will usually tell you if its centered but if a card is in the middle of having a huge price tag and its need to get a 10 I would use a trading card centering tool to check how centered the card really is. I will show you how to use a centering tool to check if the card is centered.

After I inspect the card, clean the card and put it in a semi rigid card holder. I will then sandwich them in cardboard. If its a big stack of cards I will use rubber bands if its just one card like this card I am sending off to PSA then I will just use blue painters tape. Then put in some bubble for protection. Then put in a small box and add more bubble or packaging materiel so the cards don't move in the box. Then send it off to your grading company using their instruction. Then wait for your slabbed cards. Using this method you should be pulling in 10's no problem!
