STORYLINE:
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, arrived Wednesday at the Specialty Hospital in Amman, Jordan, to meet with recent medical evacuees from Gaza.

Harry and Meghan were accompanying a World Health Organization delegation, joining Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on a two-day programme focusing on humanitarian health response, mental health, and support for vulnerable communities affected by conflict and displacement, a press release from the office of the royal couple said.

The Duke and Duchess are also due to visit the regional headquarters of World Central Kitchen, from where the
organisation coordinates and sends food and humanitarian assistance into Gaza.

Additionally, Harry and Meghan are expected to pay a visit to Questscope at the Za’atari Refugee Camp, which houses displaced Syrians, to underscore the importance of health services and community based assistance given to those affected by war, displacement and serious illness.

The Duke and Duchess first partnered with Ghebreyesus and the WHO on a vaccine equity global campaign and co-hosted a high-level event at the UN General Assembly in 2021, their office said in the press release.

Their non-profit organization Archewell also partnered with the WHO on its global initiative to help end violence against children, the press release added.
