Freediving: The Art of Letting Go

Unlike scuba diving where divers have oxygen tanks and equipment, freedivers descend on just one breath of air. Using relaxation and breathing techniques, freedivers dive down to impressive depths with the world record being 214m below the surface.

Many people prefer this method than scuba diving as it allows more freedom and a more natural feeling, allowing you to be among the sealife and get up close with the coral and fishes.

I took the Padi Freediving course to learn how, taught by Divers Down in Fujairah. I can highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the seas.
