Texas Severe Weather Returns: Tornado, Hail & Flood Risk Through Next Week

Описание: Severe weather season is waking up across Texas.

In this Wednesday edition of the Texas Weather Roundup, Texas Storm Chasers founder and Baldy-in-Chief David Reimer breaks down the active weather pattern expected across the state over the next several days.

Thunderstorms will develop across multiple parts of Texas through the remainder of the week and into early next week. Some storms could become severe with large hail, damaging wind gusts, and the possibility of tornadoes. Heavy rainfall may also lead to localized flooding, especially in North Texas and Northeast Texas.

Today and Thursday bring the first rounds of storms across North Texas, Texoma, and parts of West Texas. Friday could bring another round of stronger storms across northern Texas with large hail and tornado potential. Storm chances continue into Saturday as a cold front moves south across the state.

Forecast rainfall totals through Monday could reach one to three inches across much of eastern and central Texas, with some areas receiving locally higher totals.

We’ll also be watching another potential severe weather setup early next week as another storm system approaches the Southern Plains.
