We've spoken with one of the few vithrack in this colony that managed to hide away and prevent themselves from being infected and now we know what's going on here. The vithrack encounter a radiant spore. This plants pollen, when inhaled, enhanced their psionic powers, but at a terrible cost which they didn't notice until it was too late. The radiant spore is able to control those under the influence of its pollen and worse yet, said pollen is highly addictive. If left unchecked, it will seal the doom of not just the bithrack colony, but also Stalwart and likely the rest of the region.
We cannot allow this to happen, so it's time to slay the radiant sporeling. This is easier said than done, however, for it is powerful in its own right and a number of dominated vithrack at its command. If Lyrin were stronger of mind and more hardy, she might've been able to sever the connection the radiant spore has on those vithrack directly but she can't, so our only option is violence.
Let us hope it is enough.
