The Siddhivinayak Mahaganapati Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the elephant-headed Hindu god of wisdom Ganesha. It is located in Titwala, a small town in Kalyan taluka of Thane district in the Indian state of Maharashtra, a short distance from Mumbai. Titwala is the supposed land of the hermitage of sage Kanva, who was the foster father of Shakuntala, who was born here.
